For Parents
Parent Involvement
The purpose of the Parents' Club Board is to bring about a closer relationship among the school, the home and the parish through combinations of volunteer work, fundraising, community outreach and partnership education. Parents are elected to the board in a school-wide election each year.
Through fund-raising activities, the Parents' Club Board contributes to the school's expenses each school year. These activities not only provide funds for essential school programs, they also provide wonderful opportunities to meet and socialize with other school families.
Our major fundraisers include:
Annual Events
- Fall Carnival
- Sacred Heart Gala
- Christmas Tea
Ongoing Efforts
- Innisbrook - 8th Grade Fundraiser
- Scrip Program
The Parent Involvement Program at Sacred Heart School is a comprehensive effort partnering parents and school. Participation is mandatory for families in the following areas: Volunteer Service Hours, and Scrip. Specifically, parents are required each school year to volunteer a minimum of 20 service hours (10 hours for a single-parent household). A list of volunteer activities is provided to parents at the beginning of each school year. At Sacred Heart School, the Parent Involvement Program is designed to foster the practice of Christian service, the partnership between parents and school, and to extend resources as far as possible.
