The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk® is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research – and it calls on volunteers of all ages to become champions in the fight against this fatal disease. Since 1989, Memory Walk has raised more than $260 million for the cause.

Ms. Uhl and Mrs. Walton have organized a team for Sacred Heart. Junior High students who walk will earn 3 service hours. If you are unable to participate, you can go online and donate to the walk.

The Coachella Valley Memory Walk is a 2-mile scenic walk through Palm Desert Civic Center Park and outlying areas. Saturday, March 2nd. Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. Please arrive no later 9:45. Opening Ceremonies begin at 10:00 a.m. Walk kicks off at 10:30 a.m. Food (included with registration) & Entertainment to follow the walk at 11:30. We invite you to bring your friendly dogs with you to enjoy Memory Walk.  STUDENTS MUST BE PICKED UP AT THE ROSE GARDEN AT 12:15pm!

You must register online by February 25^th in order to receive Service Hours!!!

Please join us in taking steps to end Alzheimer's.

Reindeer Run

The National Junior Honor Society of Sacred Heart School will be hosting the first ever 5K Reindeer Run at Xavier College Preparatory High School. The students are hoping to raise %5000.00 to provide a clean-water well to a developing country through the non-profit organization Charity Water. Please consider showing your support in one of the following areas:

• Sponsoring the event (monetary donations to purchase foods for concession stand, purchasing of awards, running bibs, bottled water)

• Running in the race

• Directly donating to our fundraising campaign @ http://mycharitywater.org/sacredheartreindeerrun

***Junior High students can earn 2 service hours by registering and participating this event.   Remember parents, as with all off campus Outreach activities, all students must be supervised by an adult while at this event.

Help spruce up and refurbish camp facilities in the mountains west of Palm Springs in preparation for campers. Painting, simple construction, landscaping, cleaning, organizing & more

Saturday, October 6^th at 8:30am Palm Desert High School

Meet Mr. Gonzalez in front of the Administration building at 8:30. Opening ceremonies will be at 9am and the students will walk

with Mr. Gonzales until 10:30am. Students must be picked up at 10:30am in front of the Administration building.

You MUST be registered online by Wednesday, October 3^rd in order to receive service hours for the walk.

Last year, Desert Cancer Foundation helped more than 800 Coachella Valley women facing a breast cancer diagnosis.
